A Rooftop Photovoltaic Power Plant, or Rooftop PV System, is a photovoltaic system that has its electricity-generating solar panels mounted on the rooftop of a residential or commercial building or structure. The various components of such a system include photovoltaic modules, mounting systems, cables, solar inverters and other electrical accessories.


In grid connected solar PV systems the solar energy produced by the solar panels is converted to AC by a solar grid inverter. The output is connected to the electricity distribution board. If the solar energy produced is more than the required load, the surplus will automatically be exported to the EB distribution network (the Grid). If the solar energy generated is less the shortfall will be drawn from the grid. As the system is without battery the capital cost is reduced and the recurring cost is zero.

    • Solar PV Modules

    Solar PV Cell converts sun light into an electrical energy, which is termed as Photovoltaic technology. A group of solar cells constituting to a Module is called a Solar PV module. These PV modules generate DC electricity with no auxiliary components. The energy thus created has innumerable benefits , which are Clean and Green energy, Direct generation of Electricity, Easy to Install, Low in Maintenance, Economic benefits for a long period. Solar PV Cells is mainly used in Solar Power Plants, Solar water systems and Solar Street Lights.     • Solar Charge Controllers

    We will supply a wide range of solar PV charge controllers for solar home lighting systems. Charge controllers, which protect battery from over charging and/or excessive discharge, are the essential components of Solar PV systems. These solar charge controllers are built with best materials which results in outstanding performance. The solar charge controller uses PWM charging technology, so that as the battery reaches full charge, the PWM pulses slower, gradually tapering off the charge. The charge controller is used to regulate the current flowing from the solar panels to the batteries. These solar controllers prevent the battery from the damages caused by overcharge and disconnect the battery in case of severe discharge by shutting of loads.

    • Solar Inverters

    Inverters are widely used to convert DC power into AC. Solar inverters may be classified into two broad types:

    1) Stand-alone inverters, used in isolated systems where the inverter draws its DC energy from batteries charged by photovoltaic arrays. Many stand-alone inverters also incorporate integral battery chargers to replenish the battery from an AC source, when available. Normally these do not interface in any way with the utility grid, and as such, are not required to have anti-islanding protection.

    2) Grid-tie inverters, which match phase with a utility-supplied sine wave. Grid-tie inverters are designed to shut down automatically upon loss of utility supply, for safety reasons. They do not provide backup power during utility outages.

    A solar water heater consists of a collector to collect solar energy and an insulated storage tank to store hot water. The solar energy incident on the absorber panel coated with selected coating transfers the hat to the riser pipes underneath the absorber panel. The water passing through the riser gets heated up and is delivered the storage tank. The re-circulation of the same water through absorber panel in the collector raises the temperature to 80 C (Maximum) in a good sunny day. The total system with solar collector, storage tank and pipelines is called solar hot water system.
